“We’ve Got Your Back” Workshops
When I was 32, I woke up in the middle of the night in the worst back pain I had ever felt. I was crippled. I couldn’t walk; I had to quit my job as a financial consultant—it hurt too much to sit. After going to a couple of different spinal specialists, who gave me contradictory advice, I decided to become my own doctor and heal myself. This workshop is a culmination of my experience of how I healed my back and neck and Dr. Mabanta’s professional expert knowledge. He was a key factor in my speedy recovery, along with yoga, meditation, massage, and re-learning how to live in balance, peace and harmony, body mind and soul.
“We’ve Got Your Back” Workshops
This 2-hour workshop will educate and move you to the next level of optimal health and wellness. We will go over the most likely causes of back and neck pain and then give you solutions to reduce and be free completely of suffering and pain. Included is a core exercise routine that you can do in your own home. You will walk away with a wealth of knowledge and the tools to start implementing into your daily life.
Dr. Mabanta has been a practicing chiropractic for 30 years. He also practices yoga, Kung Fu, and Qigong.

“I went to a Yoga/Anatomy class taught by Ms. Soulfire and Dr Rick Mabanta at the Shaolin Temple in East Northport NY. They showed us how to care for your spine and back now and long term. Dr Rick did an incredible job explaining how the spine works and the proper position for optimal spine health. He demonstrated which parts of your spine connect to muscle groups in your body from a Chiropractic perspective and how problems arise from certain conditions. Ms. Soulfire taught a very thorough and well led Yoga session focused on poses that improve flexibility and strength. She also showed us how to use props like blocks and straps to help us reach a deeper expression. Ms. Soulfire had some amazing tips and tricks to use outside the studio to improve spine health from too much time driving, working on computers and phone activities. Together they covered a myriad of spinal related topics. I have to say this was a fantastic class. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to gain more knowledge or make their back feel better.”
